  • Easy Neck Stretches That Anyone Can Do

    It seems like I’ve been showing these stretches to more clients than usual lately so I’m reposting an oldy but a goody. This post was originally published on March 29,2012.

    Simple Neck Stretches

    I’m often asked about good stretches for a tight neck.  So this week, I’m going to share some of my favorite neck stretches that will benefit almost everyone. They’re mostly in picture form, they’re that simple.

    Begin each stretch by moving your head as far as you comfortably can in that direction, or until you feel a gentle stretch, whichever comes first. If needed, use the weight of 2 fingers to move your head just a little bit farther so you can feel a gentle stretch. Hold the gentle stretch for 2-3 seconds then bring your head slowly back to center.

  1. We do these neck stretches drills in soccer practice. It would be cool to apply that in a session with a Client before massaging their necks. No matter how old this post is, yet we benefit immensely after our read. How about ignoring dates so each post is fresh as new whenever we read them? Thank you!
