New Yew is an accessible, body positive, diversity welcoming, queer friendly, trans-affirming massage and bodywork practice in the Heritage Hill neighborhood of Grand Rapids.
Accessibility info: There is accessible parking, automatic doors from the parking lot into the building, and elevators to take you to the 2nd floor. The massage table lowers to 23 inches high and the doorways into the suite and office both have 34.5 inch openings.

New Yew is queer and neurodivergent owned and specializes in helping people with chronic issues such as headaches, neck pain, TMJD, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, high stress, and problematic scars.

New Yew is located in the Masonic Building on the corner of Fulton and Lafayette, just one block east of downtown. When you park in the Fulton Street lot, you will enjoy free covered parking for every session.
Meet Your Therapist
Chelle Doetsch is the owner and sole therapist at New Yew. She is neurodivergent and non-binary. They use both she/her and they/their pronouns. She doesn't have a preference for which one you use but definitely prefers that you mix it up instead of only using she or they.
She's an avid reader and music lover who's more likely to get hooked on a specific author or musician than genre. Yes, their bookshelves and music library contain quite an eclectic mix.
Chelle became an avid tattoo collector late in life (she was 47 when she got her first one) and has been trying to make up for lost time ever since. Planning their next tattoo is one of their favorite hobbies.

Education and Experience
Chelle has been a massage therapist since 2002 and has worked in a variety of settings from day spas to wellness centers. They've been in private practice since 2013.
This is her second career. Prior to this they spent 10 years working as a chemist in environmental labs. Although she was very good at it, she hated it. They absolutely love being a massage therapist and have no plans for future career changes.

Chelle has a bachelors degree in biology from Grand Valley State University.
