• 10 Reasons You Need a Massage This Holiday Season

Really want a massage but having trouble justifying it this close to Christmas? Fear not, massage therapyhere are the top 10 reasons that getting a massage is the right thing to do:

    1. You’re going to be spending Christmas with all of your extended family at which ever relative’s home is the tiniest. If you hurt before going over there, can you imagine how much worse you’ll feel after?? Get a massage before you go. Quick!
    2. You’re going to be spending Christmas with all of your extended family at which ever relative’s home is the largest and most extravagant. You can feel your stress levels climbing just thinking about it. Maybe you’re tired of the bragging. Maybe you cringe at the extravagance. Maybe you feel a few pangs of jealousy. No matter. When you get a massage, you get to go off to your own world for awhile. Go. Enjoy. We’ll wait. You’ll feel so much better.
    3. You just spent an entire day or weekend with your entire extended family in the tiniest house available. I know that jacked your body right up. Go get a massage! You’ll feel better.
    4. You’re hosting Christmas for your entire extended family at your house. You’re probably already stressing out about it. You won’t be the best host you can be if you’re letting the stress accumulate like that. What are you waiting for? Go get a massage!
    5. You still haven’t used the massage gift certificate that you got for Christmas last year. What?!? I can’t even fathom why you’d wait this long to get a free massage. Call. Make the appointment. Get the massage. If you’re lucky, you’ll get another gift certificate this year. If you really don’t want to use that gift certificate, give it to me. I’ll be happy to use it for you!
    6. You’re a massage therapist who hasn’t been walking their talk. Tsk, tsk, tsk… “If it’s important, you’ll find the time &/or money.” Sound familiar? Just go get a massage already. Don’t make me come over there.
    7. You’ll be celebrating Christmas alone. It may leave you feeling depressed and lonely, but on the upside travel, food, and gifts won’t be eating up your budget. The positive touch of massage causes a cascade of feel-good hormones to be released, and as a result it can be a great mood booster. Go get a massage: You’ll be feeling more loved than all those sad sacks who are forced to spend the entire day with people they only see once a year. Why not go for broke and get a hot stone massage? Merry Christmas to you!!
    8. You don’t actually celebrate Christmas. You can’t wait for it to be over so the radio, malls, grocery stores, and internet can go back to normal. Most massage offices don’t play Christmas music, and therefore are a bit of a refuge this time of year. The wait for the holiday season to end is so much more tolerable if your pain and stress levels are under control. Go get a massage.
    9. The best you get when you ask your family members for a massage is 5 seconds of back rubbing before they plunk themselves in front of you saying “My turn!” You soooooo deserve a good massage. Go now. What are you waiting for??
    10. You love Christmas. It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy to buy gifts for everyone and to cook for a family that’s roughly the size of a small army. Your happy-go-lucky, perpetually smiling, this-is-absolutely-the-best-time-of-year attitude is probably getting on other people’s nerves about now. Why not let the sour pusses have a couple hours to complain to each other about pretty much everything while you go get a wonderful massage. This will only add to your uber cheerful mood and make them even grumpier. You know some people aren’t happy unless they have something to complain about, so it’s a win-win.

Now you have no excuse to NOT get that massage, and 10 reasons why you should. My gift to you this year = enabling you. You’re welcome 🙂

PS This is one gift that should be re-gifted as often as possible, so go ahead and share to your heart’s content.
